Ft. Countertop Microwave - Stainless Steel This microwave looks nice on the counter, if you keep a polishing rag nearby to remove your fingerprints after each use. However, the window is very tinted and has so much protective screening that you can't see if your beverage or soup has started boiling. It might as well not have a window. It is deeper, wider, and taller by about 2" in each dimension than the cheaper microwave it is replacing, though the turntable is exactly the same size. It is also a lot noisier. This is the first time I've owned a microwave w/ a stainless case, which may transmit the fan and motor sounds more than plastic cases do, idk. The beeps it makes when you set it and when it's done cooking are also loud. Poor pre-sets: The auto reheat & cook functions have instructions hidden in an interior sticker. These pre-programmed functions are all just different times at high power, instead of programmed to heat items through optimally by combining different stages at different power...
