Amana 1.5 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave, AMV1150VAS, Stainless Steel Reviews

Over-the-Range Microwave, AMV1150VAS, Stainless Steel (Kitchen) Mine arrive with a dent on the underside. no problem i thought. paid an appliance person to hang it. after they left a found an additional dent poking into the interior cooking area. it is a lovely sleek design. it is also pretty loud when operating. sounds like a very loud fan. also doesn't seem to have the same wattage as my last sears one. so my advise is to double check it clearly while you still have the VERY ODD packing material so you might be able to deal with return if needed. 1 of 2 people found the following review helpful: ![]() This review is from: Amana 1.5 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave, AMV1150VAS, Stainless Steel (Kitchen) We selected this microwave for two major considerations. 1. Our last Amana lasted for over 16 years of daily use with only one minor problem ... a broken handle. 2. We had size considerations. Main bearings went out on the Maytag resulting in repair costs in excess of the purchase price, and the control panel died on the Frigidaire resulting in repair costs in excess of $200.00. Needless to say it'll be a long time before we again consider any appliances made by Electrolux. Sorry, but I expect more than two years of use from a major appliance, and the warranty is only for 1 year... Read more |
